At NyquistAI, we are dedicated to building AI-driven solutions for life science companies. However, there’s often confusion about what this entails. In this post, we’ll break down our structure and the origins of our AI, making it easier to understand the distinctions between our offerings. The term “AI” can cause hesitation, and rightly so, given the vast amount of information and confusion surrounding it. We hope this overview clarifies our products and what we’re building at NyquistAI.
The NyquistAI Layers
In the graphic below, you’ll see the three main layers of what we call NyquistAI layers. Each layer builds on the previous one, and we’ll explore each in detail.
1. The Data Layer
Our journey began with the data layer. We spent years carefully aggregating siloed and challenging-to-access information from global clinical trial registries, regulatory documents, safety databases, manufacturing filings, and more. We cleaned, structured, and validated this data, applying AI to make the unsearchable, searchable. This initial data layer forms our data research and intelligence platform, which requires no integration or internal data.
Currently, our platform contains information from:
- 1,445,125 Approved Devices
- 644,945 Clinical Trials
- 19,384,756 Adverse Events
- 59,614 Device Recalls
- 741,404 Approved Drugs
NyquistAI Data Products:
- Global MedTech Data Platform: Our global MedTech platform compiles data from the largest and most influential markets worldwide. From predicate mapping and clinical trial research to adverse event reports and global manufacturing data, you have access to all the necessary information to accelerate your innovation, strategic decision-making, and time to global markets.
- Global Pharma Data Platform: Our Global Pharma platform contains all information related to on-market interventions in the world’s largest markets. It enables you to gain critical market insights, understand global market trends, and create and execute winning regulatory strategies.
2. The Application Layer
With the data layer in place, we developed our proprietary AI, independent of other AI systems like OpenAI. We fine-tuned it using data from the data layer, creating an application layer specifically designed for life science workflows. By limiting our training set to this data, we crafted AI uniquely tailored to the life sciences industry. This finely tuned AI builds on the data layer, enabling us to create tools for life sciences in the application layer. These applications are safe, require no integration or internal data, and provide transparent outputs.
NyquistAI Application Products:
- GuidanceIQ: An AI tool that streamlines the search of FDA and EUDAMED guidance documents, offering precise answers and referencing the original source.
- Nyquist Scholar: A breakthrough technology that dramatically reduces the time and cost of performing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) without sacrificing methodological rigor.
3. Custom Solutions Layer
The third layer comprises custom solutions tailored for specific client needs. These solutions typically include three parts: a process layer (built from NyquistAI), an organization’s institutional knowledge layer (fine-tuning the solution to the company), and an intelligence layer (the solution’s output). Each custom solution is exclusive to the client, ensuring that interactions are not used to train the model for other organizations. The data remains isolated, serving your company’s unique needs without external influence. The data and solution can be deployed within your company’s environment or hosted by us, ensuring data security and exclusivity.
Examples of Customized Solutions:
- Clinical Trial Site Selection Tool: A custom AI-powered tool for a client to streamline the selection process for clinical trial sites. This tool integrates various data sources, allowing the client to make more informed and efficient decisions.
- Automated Guidance Change Monitoring: A custom AI solution for a client to automate the monitoring of global guidance changes and assess their impact on products. This tool saves time and reduces errors by automatically tracking guidance updates, comparing different versions, and assessing product impacts.
